PRE-INTERVIEW PREPARATIONS - Assemble your interview kit.
The company dossier.

Two or three copies of your resume.
One for yourself and one or two for the interviewer.
A pad of paper and writing instruments.
This demonstrates organization and your interest in the job.
It also gives you something constructive to do with your
hands during the interview.

Contact telephone numbers.
If you get detained on the way to the interview, you can
call and let the company representative know.
A list of job related questions.
At the end of the interview, you will be given the opportunity
to ask questions. Develop some questions that will help you
understand the job’s parameters and potential.

You might ask: "What's the #1 priority for this position?"
"If I perform well where can I go in the company?"
"What is the job relationship to other departments?"
"How does the job and the department relate to the company mission?"

Any additional information you have about the company or
the position.
Research the company prior to the interview.
Request company literature, look them up on the
internet.
Know what the company does.

Directions to the interview.
Check the route, distance, and travel time.

You can assume you will be scrutinized in three main areas:

Ability - Can you do the job?
Willingness - Will you do the job?
Manageability - Will you be a pleasure or a pain to have around?

First impressions are the strongest you make.
